Wolves Forward Set to Join Cougars this Fall

LACONIA, NH -- Jonathan Hutorsky, a forward for the New England Wolves, has committed to Misericordia University for the fall of 2024.

The '04 native of Staten Island, NY chose the Wolves for what will end up being his final season of junior hockey, and over the course of 14 games in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) last year, Hutorsky tallied three assists to this credit.

"I'm very happy for Jon to accomplish his goal of playing NCAA Hockey,” said Wolves head coach Tim Kunes. “He is a great teammate and I enjoyed having him on our team. He is proof that playing in our league increased his exposure to college coaches. We wish him all the best at Misericordia next year!"

The Misericordia Cougars will kicking off their inaugural season at the NCAA Division III level this fall. As the 2024-25 campaign begins, Hutorsky will be part of a freshmen class that includes 11 other players that hit the ice in the EHL this past season.

"There is no better place than the Wolves and the EHL as a league, in helping players get to the next level," said Hutorsky. "The coaching staff is unmatched. I really enjoyed my time here as a member of the Wolves in Laconia, New Hampshire, where I developed not only as a hockey player, but as a person as well.
