Spartans Veteran Forward Finished Climb to NCAA Hockey

EXETER, NH -- Michael Boschetto, a forward for the Seacoast Spartans, has committed to Keene State College for the fall of 2024.

The '03 native of Framingham, MA compiled a resume of over 150 junior hockey games played, combined between time spent in both the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) and the Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP).

First stopping in the EHLP back in the 2021-22 season, he led the league in points and goals, earning him Forward of the Year honors en route to a championship run with the Boston Jr. Rangers. Then making the jump to the EHL level, he won another championship with Boston, all while tallying over 40 more points to his credit.

Last, but not least, he wrapped up his time in the EHL with the Seacoast Spartans this past season, producing at a point-per-game rate in their 2nd round playoff run.

“I love this fit
,” Spartans head coach and general manager Brett Tryder said. “Michael had a very good year with us. He can play in all situations, and he added a ton to our culture and locker room. Keene is getting a gem here. Not only will the Owls be getting a great player, but 'Schetto will add passion, commitment, and loyalty to their locker room, which is doubly important to a budding program. I am excited to follow Michael's college career."

Boschetto will be part of a double-digit EHL class heading to Keene for NCAA hockey, including two others with EHLP experience, in
Jared Martin from the Connecticut Chiefs and Sean Hoffman from the Valley Jr. Warriors.

“My time with the Seacoast Spartans was an amazing experience,” said Boschetto. “I grew, not only as a player, but as a person and a leader. I can't thank Coach Tryder and the Seacoast organization, enough. I can't wait to continue my journey at Keene State, and take these lessons to help build the same culture that we had with the Spartans.”
