Wolves Forward Set to Join Golden Bears this Fall

LACONIA, NH -- Philippe Longchamps, a forward for the New England Wolves, has committed to Western New England University (WNE) for the fall of 2024.

The '03 native of Canada chose the Wolves for his only season of junior hockey, and over the course of 40 total games in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) last year, Longchamps tallied 20 points to his credit on eight goals and 12 assists.

"I'm very happy for Philippe to accomplish his goal of playing NCAA Hockey,” said Wolves head coach Tim Kunes. “He was a great teammate and hard worker during his time in our program. Even though he struggled with injuries during the season, he persevered to achieve his goals. We wish him the best of luck at WNE!"

Longchamps is one of six players from around the league that have committed to the Golden Bears program, with the other five players coming from four different EHL teams.

"The New England Wolves program helped me develop what I was lacking to become a college hockey player," said Longchamps. "I will always be grateful for the support they offered me and for helping me reach my dream. The EHL is the best spot to make the jump to NCAA Division III, and after being part of this league, I recommend it to everyone who has the dream of playing college hockey."
