The Premier Division Season Begins on September 10th

BOSTON, MA -- The Premier Division season kicks off on Saturday, September 10th when the New Jersey Rockets travel north to take on the Connecticut Oilers, and the Connecticut Nighthawks head south to face-off with the Philadelphia Revolution.

Notable Games

This year the EHL will host a record five Premier Division showcases, one per month, from September to January.

  1. The NH Jr. Monarchs will begin their title defense in Bedford, MA on September 16th against the East Coast Wizards.
  2. Also on the 16th, last year's North Conference Regular Season Champions, the Boston Bandits, open their year at home against the Boston Jr. Rangers.
  3. Brett Tryder (New England Wolves) makes his EHL coaching debut on September 17th against the Rangers.
  4. One day later, Bill Silengo (New York Applecore) will coach his first game in the EHL against the Northern Cyclones.
  5. An early two-game set between the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers and the New Jersey Rockets will help set the tone for the whole season, October 1st and 2nd.
  6. Another matchup to circle for the Monarchs takes place on October 14th, when they head to Philly for an EHL Finals rematch with the Philadelphia Little Flyers.
  7. The Monarchs first "true home game" since winning it all in Hooksett, NH this past March, will be against the Cyclones on November 4th.
  8. Always a great matchup, the Vermont Lumberjacks and Monarchs will face-off at the Verizon Wireless Arena on November 19th. The Monarchs other matchup in Manchester is against the Rangers on February 11th.
  9. The Rangers and the Hartford Jr. Wolfpack will face-off at Wesleyan University on January 7th.
  10. The Walpole Express and Connecticut Oilers each saw their postseason runs cut short in the semi-finals last March, and the two teams will face-off in back to back showcases this year. December 19th in Simsbury, CT and January 15th in Hooksett, NH.
  11. Last season the Little Flyers only lost 2 games during showcase play, one of them was at the hands of the Valley Jr. Warriors. This year's showcase matchup between the two teams is scheduled for January 17th in Hooksett. NH.
  12. The season kicks off on September 10th, and 177 days later it will end in time for the #EHLplayoffs. The final two games of the season on March 5th feature the Little Flyers vs. the Applecore and the Wolves vs. the Lumberjacks.
