The Push for the #EHLplayoffs is On

BOSTON, MA -- The holiday break is over and it's time to get back to hockey!

There are no more breaks in the schedule the rest of the way, as we head towards the #EHLplayoffs. Each division has its own set of unique races, but the key throughout the entire league is the importance of every point on every night.

Be sure to check out how the postseason breaks down for both the Premier and 19U Elite Divisions this year.

Follow the EHL all season long on social media -- Facebook - Twitter - Instagram - YouTube, and watch every game live through HockeyTV.

PREMIER DIVISION

As has been the case for the majority of the season, the Philadelphia Little Flyers have been at the top, with everyone else trying to keep up. It will be fun to watch how long the Little Flyers can keep their winning streak intact, as well as who will win each of the four respective divisions (two in the North Conference, two in the South Conference).

There are teams with games in hand, but here is how the 8 playoff teams look right now for each conference.

North Conference

  1. New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs
  2. Boston Bandits
  3. Northern Cyclones
  4. Walpole Express
  5. Boston Jr. Rangers
  6. Valley Jr. Warriors
  7. Vermont Lumberjacks
  8. East Coast Wizards

South Conference

  1. Philadelphia Little Flyers
  2. Connecticut Oilers
  3. Philadelphia Revolution
  4. Philadelphia Jr. Flyers
  5. New Jersey Rockets
  6. Hartford Jr. Wolfpack
  7. New York Applecore
  8. Connecticut Nighthawks

There are plenty of games left to go, and much still to be determined, but the key for all the teams will be to peak at the right time. The sport of hockey is unique in that the best TEAM usually wins, and this will most likely be the case once again the EHL's top Division.

19U ELITE DIVISION

The story has been much different in the 19U Elite Division, starting with the format for this year's playoffs. Each conference is still up in the air, but the favorites are more clearly defined in the South Conference as opposed to the North Conference. In trying to find the keys to success, most coaches on the Elite side are stressing the importance of the #1 and #2 seeds, as each one gets a bye through the first round of single elimination playoff games.

There are teams with games in hand, but here is how the 6 playoff teams look right now for each conference.

North Conference

  1. Vermont Lumberjacks
  2. Boston Bandits
  3. New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs
  4. Walpole Express
  5. Valley Jr. Warriors
  6. Boston Jr. Rangers

South Conference

  1. Philadelphia Revolution
  2. Philadelphia Jr. Flyers
  3. Hartford Jr. Wolfpack
  4. New Jersey Rockets
  5. Brewster Bulldogs
  6. Lehigh Valley Jr. Rebels

Let's keep an eye on the tight race taking shape in the North Conference, as well as the race between the Revolution and Jr. Flyers in the South Conference.
