RoughRiders Forward Set to Join Amcats this Fall

NORWALK, CT -- Nicholas Kukuris, a forward for the Connecticut RoughRiders, has committed to Anna Maria College for the Fall of 2018. The '97 just finished his second and final season with the RoughRiders, and his time in the EHL ends with 91 career points in 96 total games.

"We had our sights on Nick for years while he was in Colorado with our RoughRiders affiliate and had watched him mature over that time," said RoughRiders head coach and general manager Eric Lind. "Nick had immediate impact for us in the EHL from day one with his on-ice production, great work ethic, and super leadership qualities.”'

The native of Littleton, CO provided great balance for his team on offense, while playing in 48 games in each of his two seasons in the EHL. In the first year, the talented forward notched a nearly-even 15 goals and 19 assists to his name. He then followed things up with 23 goals and 34 assists this past year.

Kukuris is now set to kick-off his collegiate hockey career this Fall, and hopes to play a key role in establishing the foundation for the Anna Maria hockey team. The Amcats will begin play at the Division III level as an independent school, and their roster already includes five players from five different organizations in the EHL.
