HYANNIS, MA -- Trace Pederson, a forward for the Seahawks Hockey Club, has committed to Anna Maria College for the Fall of 2018. The '97 just finished his first and only season in the EHL, as he notched 6 points in 29 total games.
"We are very excited for Trace and his family," said Seahawks head coach and general manager Bill Zaniboni. "Trace had a up and down year when it came to injuries, and his season was cut short by an injury. He remained with the team and was a positive teammate all year. He is a fast player that can win face-offs. His speed and quickness should be a nice attribute to Anna Maria and the hockey program."
As Zaniboni mentioned, Pederson's season was unfortunately cut short due to injury, but that didn't keep the native of Colorado from making his NCAA Commitment. Pederson will now re-join Jake Huss and Alex Friend this Fall at Anna Maria College. The three Seahawks alums are part of an incoming class that includes 12 former players from the EHL. Pederson is looking forward to helping the Amcats get off to a good start in their first season in division III hockey.
"I'm proud to announce my commitment to Anna Maria College," said Pederson. "I would like to thank everyone who has supported me in this journey to collegiate hockey. I'd like to thank all my teammates and coaches who have pushed me to become the player I am today. I'd like to especially thank Coach Zaniboni for not only preparing me for the next level, but also preparing me to take on the next chapter of my life."
