EHL Alum Leads Northeastern to Second Consecutive Beanpot Title

BOSTON, MA -- For the second consecutive season, the Northeastern Huskies skated away as champions of the Annual Beanpot Tournament at TD Garden. With the pair of victories Cayden Primeau (Philadelphia Revolution) improves to 4-0-0 in his Beanpot career, and in back-to-back seasons, he's been named the Eberly Award Winner for the goaltender with the best save percentage in the tournament (.952). However, this year was a little extra special for the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) alum, as along with the Eberly Award, Primeau was also named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament.

Overall, Primeau turned aside 59 of the 62 shots he faced during the Beanpot, and the sophomore simply continues to impress at the next level. A draft pick of the Montreal Canadiens, Primeau is accomplishing so much at still a very young age, as he won't turn 20 years old until this upcoming August.

Looking ahead, Primeau will look to continue to lead the Huskies, as they head towards the Hockey East playoffs and then onto the NCAA Tournament.
