TSR Hockey Stars of the Week #13

Vonakis, Koblick, and Walker Earn EHL Weekly Honors

BOSTON, MA -- We're down to just 10 games left before the holiday break, as this past week featured the third showcase of the season in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL). All 18 teams hit the ice in Newington, CT, with over 70% of the games being decided by 3 goals or less. With so many tight matchups, the EHL saw a strong showing from the NCAA coaches and scouts, as well as some great performances from many different players across the league.

The EHL is pleased to announce that George Vonakis (Philadelphia Little Flyers), Jackson Koblick (Philadelphia Revolution), and Thomas Walker (Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights) have been named the TSR Hockey Stars of the Week.

The final week before the holiday break features at least a game per day through Sunday, with 10 total matchups on the schedule. The next set of TSR Hockey Stars of the Week will be released on Monday, December 24th. Remember to catch the #Eshow all season long on HockeyTV.

The EHL Showcase Series

Follow Along as the Action Unfolds in Newington

NEWINGTON, CT -- The EHL Showcase Series returns this week, as all 18 Eastern Hockey League (EHL) teams will converge at Newington Arena. There will also be a guest team included in the third showcase of the season, as the EHL welcomes the Kirkland Lake Gold Miners of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League (NOJHL) to Connecticut.

Be sure to follow the EHL on social media for updates throughout the 2 days in Newington (Facebook-- Twitter-- Instagram). Also, if you can't make it to the rink to catch the action, you can watch every game live on HockeyTV.

Chiefs Set to Host December Showcase

BOSTON, MA -- The Eastern Hockey League (EHL) is excited to resume the 2018-19 EHL Showcase Series this Thursday at 10:40 in Newington, CT. The schedule features 9 games per day on Thursday and Friday, and all 18 EHL teams in action. There will also 19th team in action in Connecticut as the EHL welcomes Kirkland Lake as a guest team for the third showcase of the season. The Kirkland Lake Gold Miners play out of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League (NOJHL), they own a record of 22-10-1 in their first 33 games.

EHL GAME OF THE WEEK
Boston Jr. Rangers vs. Philadelphia Revolution
12/14/18 at 8:20am - Newington Arena - Blue Rink

The Rangers and Revolution hit the ice for their second matchup of the season, after Boston won the first meeting 4-2 back on October 28th. Billy Girard was the difference in net for the Rangers, turning aside 35 of the 37 shots sent his way.
