Little Flyers Host Team Maryland at 4:30pm

ASTON, PA -- The Eastern Hockey League (EHL) is excited to kick-off our 6th season this afternoon at 4:30pm. Opening day in the EHL features the Philadelphia Little Flyers and Team Maryland. For the Little Flyers, this will be their first matchup since falling just short of the EHL Championship Game back at the 2018 EHL Frozen Finals. Then on the flip side, Team Maryland is set to begin its inaugural season in the EHL.

"It's always an exciting day when you start a new season," said Mark Kumpel, the EHL's Director of Hockey Operations. "I am sure the entire league will be watching this afternoon. The EHL has been making great strides each and every year, and today's the first step of what we hope to be another milestone campaign."

This afternoon's matchup is the only game of the day, as eight more teams are gearing up to kick-off their respective seasons next Friday, September 14th. The back end of this home-and-home series between the Little Flyers and Team Maryland is scheduled for Monday at 1:00pm in Odenton, MD.
