BOSTON, MA -- A new week in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) kicks off this afternoon at 1:00pm, and this will start a stretch of at least 1 game per day for the rest of the month of September. Focusing on this weekend in particular, all 19 EHL teams are set to hit the ice, highlighted by the New Hampshire Avalanche beginning defense of their 2017-18 EHL Championship.

The New Hampshire Avalanche begin defense of their EHL Championship, when they host the in-state rival New England Wolves on Saturday at 4:20pm. After helping 19 players make their NCAA Commitments this past season, the Avalanche have reloaded with another deep roster. These two teams are scheduled to meet 3 more times in the regular season.

BOSTON, MA -- With a home-and-home series already in the books, the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) kicks into full gear this weekend with 15 total games on the docket. The action stretching from Friday to Monday includes 16 of the 19 teams hitting the ice, and a number of intriguing matchups.

ASTON, PA -- The Eastern Hockey League (EHL) is excited to kick-off our 6th season this afternoon at 4:30pm. Opening day in the EHL features the Philadelphia Little Flyers and Team Maryland. For the Little Flyers, this will be their first matchup since falling just short of the EHL Championship Game back at the 2018 EHL Frozen Finals. Then on the flip side, Team Maryland is set to begin its inaugural season in the EHL.
"It's always an exciting day when you start a new season," said Mark Kumpel, the EHL's Director of Hockey Operations. "I am sure the entire league will be watching this afternoon. The EHL has been making great strides each and every year, and today's the first step of what we hope to be another milestone campaign."
This afternoon's matchup is the only game of the day, as eight more teams are gearing up to kick-off their respective seasons next Friday, September 14th. The back end of this home-and-home series between the Little Flyers and Team Maryland is scheduled for Monday at 1:00pm in Odenton, MD.
